CHILDREN’S BOOKS ILLUSTRATIONS
Luca is a simple story about a boy who has a desire to create in response to a problem, but becomes frustrated with the realization that he cannot create the perfect star. Despite his frustration, however, Luca is taken away on a journey to bring back the stars and learns that his stars were not ugly at all. As an artist, I am in a constant battle against the desire to be perfect. Everyday I am learning to create out of joy instead of fear, and in doing so, I create more genuine work.
